2 Lost Rarities Get Their Due
In 1956 in Dallas, Texas, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, studio owner, and producer Bob Kelly cut the regional rock ’n’ roll classic “Somebody Help Me.” A few years later in 1959, Boston teenager, vocalist Ricky Coyne and his combo, Ricky Coyne and His Guitar Rockers, recorded the Doo-Wop ballad “Angel From Heaven” for Al Hawkes’ Event Records of Westbrook, Maine.
Decades later, both songs landed at Fervor Records, where the label has resurrected these lost classics through reissues and high-profile film and TV placements. In fact, both songs appear in the new Netflix film “Unabomber,” starring Russell Crowe, premiering September 25th. Fervor Records is proud to breathe new life into the lost classics, exposing them to millions of new listeners worldwide. You can enjoy Bob Kelly and Ricky Coyne and His Guitar Rockers now across all major platforms.

The Xotics
Stranger Things: Tales From '85
Arizona new wave outfit The Xotics recorded their brilliant four-song EP in 1983. The three teenagers recorded on an eight-track multi-track and then… ran out of cash. However, the end result defied their youth and inexperience, showcasing their pure raw talent, deft production decisions, and musical restraint—a trait so uncommon in young players, who often take a "more is better" approach.
Shockingly, the songs were never formally released. Dubs of dubs on cassette made the rounds in Phoenix, but the band broke up and their perfectly crafted EP languished in obscurity for decades. The multi-tracks eventually found their way to Fervor Records in 2022. The label got to work and finally issued The Xotics’ long-overdue masterpiece.
The Xotics' music quickly resonated in Hollywood, with the band landing cuts in high-profile shows including Only Murders in the Building, Black Rabbit, 9-1-1: Lone Star, and now, Stranger Things: Tales From '85. Appearing in Episode 205 is “Would You Stay There,” a song that illustrates their influences: OMD, New Order, The Psychedelic Furs, Joy Division, and The Blue Nile.

Jagged Rocks On The Perimeter
Stranger Things: Tales From '85
In 1984, Phoenix new wave band Jagged Rocks On The Perimeter released their debut EP, “Against a Darkened Sky.” The record, issued on the private press label Nectar Records, found its way Down Under and picked up college radio play in Australia. The radio buzz led to a management deal with legendary industry manager Bruce Patron (The Go-Go’s, INXS). Soon, major labels like MCA and Arista were flying into town to scout the band, and they even wound up sharing bills with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Long story short, a major label deal never materialized. However, 42 years later, the group’s freshman release is finding a brand-new audience via Netflix’s wildly popular “Stranger Things: Tales From '85.” The song appears in Episode 204, which is now streaming. You can discover Jagged Rocks On The Perimeter now across all major platforms.

The Hits Keep Coming for Al Kerbey
Back in the 1980s the multi-talented singer, songwriter and keyboardist Al Kerbey had no problem keeping his gig calendar booked. A prolific songwriter, Al was also cranking out tunes in search of the elusive major label record deal. Why the majors passed remains a mystery, but Fervor Records did not.
Al has had an incredible summer with his songs resonating across “Adults”, two episodes of “The Shards” (both on FX), and now the Netflix series “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story.” Heard in Episode 104 is Al’s 1980 upbeat, optimistic pop anthem “Here Comes The Love.” Binge “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story” September 17th on Netflix and discover Al Kerbey on his Fervor Records release “Here Comes The Love” available now across all major platforms.
