The Century Arms AP5SD combines the best features of a regular MP5 with that of the specialized SD model: it uses an un-ported barrel which takes standard 3-lug suppressors! This avoids the extra cleaning and the specialized suppressor that SDs require… here I’m using a SilencerCo Omega 9K and can run subsonic 9mm without issues. Another factor to consider is that the cost of an AP5SD is a heck of a lot less than a standard SD, and I already had several regular 9mm cans laying around that I could use with it.

Do you *need* to run out and get a Gen 6 if you have a Gen 3, 4, or 5? Not really. But I would say the latest grip changes are significant and the biggest improvement overall to the G***k since Gen 3… the rounding, swell, stipple shape, and stipple coverage are instantly noticeable when you pick it up. You’ve also got the modularity from Gen 5 in that you can mix/match slides and frames for combinations of lengths and heights. I see people online saying they aren’t impressed and don’t need it, and I partially disagree… You probably don’t need it, it won’t magically make you shoot better or faster, but you still have to be impressed by the grip. If you didn’t have a G***k and had to pick one, you’d pick this one over other gens. ***k

Noticed this on my older SureFire which was on a range and paper target pistol, never dropped. Def had a lot use, but I can’t figure out if it cracked from barrel blast/heat or something came back and hit it. It’s on the barrel and dirty side of optic, top not bottom. Wild! The light still works perfectly fine which is impressive, should I try to warranty this or nah? Light will probably do another 10 years like this and be totally fine.

Bought a 17 Gen 6 G***kie boi with the COA sight, hopefully it holds up since the slide cut somewhat commits you to the optic. So far I like the glass and less obtrusive case size compared to other enclosed dots. The whole “low enough to co-witness” is overblown as you can barely see the sights at very bottom of window, little nubs, nowhere near a 1/3rd view so I think getting taller irons are still needed if you want that capability in a stressful situation. Was shooting off to the right out of the box but easily adjusted it to be centered with a few clicks, so far I dig it.

Ugh… I mean yaaay, here we go again for 3rd year haha! I like that even the makers realize you’ll mostly be in the brace position after some of these! 🤣🤮

Quick, how many suppressors are there?! I’ll give two hints: there are no faux suppressors but there is an installed Bizon 9mm mag you shouldn’t count, and there is a 12 gauge suppressor somewhere. Good luck!

I barely just broke in this *wunderbar* G47 and already it is discontinued?! Dang it! I’m not getting the Gen V till they do an MOS, if I get one at all. Boo hiss!

Whacky 5.7 things! Trying the new .official PR-5.7 mag-less pistol out, I dig it! Very light, very thin, but also quite grippy, holds 20+1 rounds. It had a few failures to cycle for the first 50 rounds with polymer-tip ammo but now runs super after break-in. I think I like it more than my G48!
