8:43am - Major accident on FM121 between Gunter and Tioga between Calk Rd and Scoggins Rd. FM121 IS SHUT DOWN. Gunter Fire Department, Tioga Volunteer Fire Department, Allegiance Mobile Health, Whitesboro Fire Department ambulance and Pilot Point Fire Department ambulance and medical helicopters on scene. Avoid the area!

12:38pm - All Gunter fire and Tioga fire units are clear, the roadway has re-opened.

Asst Chief Cox, Capt. Rimling and Engineer Gray are in College Station this week teaching Confined Space Rescue at the TEEX Annual Municipal Fire School.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Denton County and surrounding counties until 10 p.m. tonight.

[UPDATE, 9:45 pm] The roadway has reopened. Thanks to all for their patience as our first responders worked the scene.

FM-455 is currently closed in both directions approximately one mile east of US-377 while emergency crews work a head-on collision. Please seek an alternate route around this closure. Posted June 27, 7:30 pm.

Chief Heath Hudson, Driver Brad Bell, Driver Collin Carter, and City Manager Britt Lusk had a great day representing the Pilot Point Fire Department in the Buster Chandler Foundation Golf Tournament. It started out a little soggy but ended up being a great day. Thank you to Chandler Cabinets for all that they do for us.
