💜Survivors deserve safety. Survivors deserve support. Survivors deserve solidarity. Survivors deserve ACTION.
Approximately 33% of women and 27% of men in California experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Early intervention is critical to preventing these cases from escalating, as many domestic violence incidents involve the use of weapons.
If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, please know you're not alone.

Patience. De-escalation. Professional Policing.
On September 28, Pinole Police officers responded to a high-risk disturbance at a local motel involving a man in a mental health crisis who was reportedly armed and threatening officers.
For 25 minutes, Officers Dalao, Guerrero, and Sykes-Miller used time, distance, and calm communication to defuse the situation. Thanks to their tactical patience and teamwork, the individual was safely taken into custody without any force being deployed.
We would also like to thank our partners; A3 Crisis Response Team; who helped collaborate on the de-escalation.
We are proud of these officers for proving that sometimes the best measure of success is the force that disciplined police work helps prevent. 🛡️
If you or someone you know is experiencing a behavioral health crisis, call the A3 Miles Hall Crisis Call Center at 844-844-5544, available 24/7, or Text 'HOPE' to 20121

To protect vulnerable road users and curb dangerous driving habits, the Pinole Police Department conducted a targeted crosswalk enforcement detail focused on motorists failing to yield to pedestrians.
🚨The detail resulted in 17 stops and 15 citations for crosswalk violations.
🚸Driver failure to yield remains one of the leading causes of pedestrian-involved collisions. This targeted operation aimed to hold drivers accountable, raise awareness of pedestrian right-of-way laws under the California Vehicle Code, and foster a safer environment for everyone sharing the road.

A message from California State Parks :
Prescribed Burn at Angel Island State Park to Continue as Early as Sept. 23
After pausing of the September 8th prescribed burn at Angel Island Island State Park, California State Parks, in partnership with CAL FIRE and the Marin County Fire Department, plan to continue the prescribed burn as early as Wednesday, Sept. 23 to Thursday, Sept. 24.
Community members should refrain from calling 911 to report smoke from Angel Island to avoid overwhelming emergency dispatchers.
Prescribed burns conducted in State Parks promote habitat improvement and reduce fuel loads that have accumulated in the absence of historically frequent, low-intensity fires. All burning is dependent upon wildfire activity, resource availability, weather conditions, predicted smoke movement and fuel moisture. If conditions are not conducive, the burn will be rescheduled.
Trail Closures at Angel Island State Park: 🥾Ida Trail, 🥾Sunset Trail, 🥾the fire road and 🥾Perimeter Road may be closed on and immediately following burn days.
For more updates keep checking Angel Island State Park social media and the park webpage or use the Watch Duty app to see burn operations updates.
📣National Child Passenger Safety Week is here!
Keeping our little ones safe on the road is a top priority, and it all starts with using the correct car seat.
What the Law Says:
🔵Children under 2 years old, weighing under 40 pounds OR under 40 inches tall must ride in a rear-facing car seat.
🟡 Children under the age of 8 must be secured in a car or booster seat in the back seat.
🔴 Children who are 8 years old OR have reached a height of 4'9'' may be secured by a booster seat, but at a minimum must be secured by a safety belt.
Growth spurts can happen fast, and they're a good reminder to check that your child's car seat is still the right fit.

🚨Public Safety Update- Mutual Aid Response
If you happened to see our Emergency Response Vehicle traveling through Pinole this morning; officers responded to a mutual aid request from Hercules PD.
During the incident, officers were confronted with the potential for an armed encounter, involving two wanted suspects, that included the presence of a fi***rm.
Due to the circumstances and potential risk to officers and the public, Pinole PD deployed its Emergency Response Vehicle to provide an additional layer of protection. Working alongside our neighboring law enforcement partners, the incident was safely resolved and both suspects were taken into custody.
We are proud of the cooperation and professionalism demonstrated by our West Bay Communications Center that had direct communications with all departments involved in the field.
Mutual Aid requires agencies working together, sharing resources, and supporting one another to keep our communities safe.
Questions regarding the incident should be directed to the Hercules Police Department.
