Piscataway Public Library

A look back at our Food for Thought exhibit reception! 🍽️💭

Last week, we gathered at Kennedy Library to celebrate the stories, memories, and traditions our community shared through the Food for Thought exhibit. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful celebration of food, culture, and connection!

The Food for Thought exhibit is on view at Kennedy Library through October, so there’s still time to stop by and explore the stories and memories shared by your friends and neighbors.

This exhibit is part of our Food for Thought project, made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities , a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this event do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities or the New Jersey Council for the Humanities.

Create something tiny but mighty! 🎨✨

Our Tiny Art Show is back, and you can join in on the fun! Pick up your own kit, complete with a tiny canvas, at Kennedy Library and create your own masterpiece.

All ages are welcome to participate. Artwork will be displayed from December 2026 through January 2027.

Completed pieces must be submitted to the Information Desk at Kennedy Library by Sunday, November 15. For more information about the kits, please contact the Information Desk.

We can't wait to see your works of art! 😊

That’s a wrap on Library Card Sign-Up Month! 🎉📚

We couldn’t let September end without a little help from the people behind the Library! Our staff had a great time being part of this month’s activities, and we hope you enjoyed following along with us.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us, signed up for a card, visited our locations, or followed along. We’re so happy to be part of this community and look forward to seeing you at the Library!

Here’s to your next visit, checkout, or discovery! 😊

There’s nothing better than a morning at the Library with the family! 📖

Families joined us for our Preschool Family Story Time, enjoying stories, crafts, and games throughout the morning at our Westergard branch. It was wonderful to see our youngest readers and their families enjoy a welcoming, fun-filled morning together. 😀

Library Card Sign-Up Month is still going strong! If your little reader doesn’t have a library card yet, there’s still time to get one and start making the Library part of their reading journey. And don’t forget to check our online calendar for upcoming events!

We've got a Friend in you! 🎶📚

We deeply appreciate the dedicated volunteers who make up the Executive Board of the Friends of Piscataway Public Library .

From funding the Museum Pass Program to supporting new furnishings, displays, and other library needs, the Friends play an important role in helping our library grow and thrive. Special thanks to them for their continued efforts through fundraising, book sales, and donations, which make a meaningful difference to our community.

This September, show some love for your library community by signing up for a library card!

Show us your library card pride! 💙📸

Did you just get your library card, or have you been a cardholder for years? Stop by the giant library card display at the front desk at either Kennedy or Westergard Library and snap a photo to celebrate!

We’d love to see our community showing off their cards and celebrating all that the Library has to offer.

Also, be sure to tag us in your photos so we can celebrate with you! 😊

What’s your favorite thing to do with your library card? 🤔

Are you checking out your next great read, borrowing movies, listening to audiobooks, or enjoying eBooks from home? We want to hear from you!

Tell us in the comments: What’s your favorite way to use your library card? 👇

Books, songs, and plenty of fun at Story Time with Sharon!

Thank you to Council Vice President Carmichael for joining our library staff and helping make Story Time special for our youngest readers!

Keep the story going! Visit the Library and get your own library card to enjoy all the books and experiences waiting for you. 📖😊

Piscataway Township

Pete the Cat is feeling on top of the world! 😺🌎

Looks like he found the purr-fect spot to show off his library card!

There’s still time to join Pete and get your own library card before Library Card Sign-Up Month comes to an end. Stop by the Library or contact the Information Desk for more information about getting your own library card.

Inspired by Troy Public Library ! Thanks for the fun idea! 💙

There’s always room for a new library cardholder! 💙📚

We’ve loved seeing so many families stop by both of our branches, Kennedy and Westergard, to get their very own library cards! From little readers getting their first card to families signing up together, it’s been wonderful to see our community making the Library part of their lives.

Here’s to all the new cardholders and the adventures, stories, and memories ahead!
