Bone Deep Productions will stage three performances of "The Pocket Guide to Desert Survival."
I'm Olive Sullivan, and Bone Deep Productions is the company that will stage my original play, "The Pocket Guide to Desert Survival," featuring the Midwest Regional Ballet Company. It's a hybrid play/ballet/poetry reading based on my experience with cancer. Though it's my story told through a mythical lens, I believe it will help encourage others to look at their own experience with severe illness in another way.

After talking to people at KU Medical Center in Kansas City and at Via Christi in Pittsburg, I have donated $5,000 from the proceeds of The Pocket Guide to Desert Survival to the Mt. Carmel Foundation in Pittsburg, The money will go towards additional education and certification for cancer center staff. I had intended to donate the money toward cancer research, but Pittsburg does not have a research program and I decided I would like the money to benefit our community as much as possible.
I'm torn between the philosophy of visualizing what you want and not counting your chickens until they're hatched. At this point, the chickens are running wild!
