"Pittsburgh is too cloudy for solar." It's one of the most common things we hear, and it's mostly a myth.

Solar panels run on daylight, not perfect blue skies. On cloudy days your system keeps producing, just at a lower rate. Long summer days build up net metering credits that help carry you through the shorter winter months. And panels actually run a little more efficiently in the cold.

What really decides how well solar works on your home isn't the weather. It's your roof's direction, shade, and condition. That's why we design every system around your specific roof using real local weather data.

William talked to several solar companies before choosing Connected Energy Solar, and he spotted exactly what sets us apart.

We came out to his home, looked at his situation and goals, and only then talked about a proposal. Too many solar companies do it the other way around. They show up with a package already picked out and try to make it fit your house.

Our approach is the opposite. Listen first, design second, then a crew that gets it done on time from start to finish. As William put it, a true turnkey solution.

Thank you William for taking the time to share your experience. If you're comparing solar companies right now, we'd welcome the chance to earn your business too. Send us a message for a free assessment. No obligation, no pressure. ☀️

Not every roof makes it easy, and this one had a lot going on. Hip roof, several roof planes, ridgelines running in every direction, and mature trees on both sides.

Rather than forcing one big block of panels onto the roof, our team designed the system around it. The panels sit across multiple planes to catch the most sun this home can get. It's a clean, custom layout built for this house, not a template dropped onto it.

If you've been told your roof is too complicated for solar, or you just assumed it was, send us a message. We'll take a real look and give you an honest answer. Free assessment, no pressure. ☀️

Pittsburgh got the biggest electricity rate hike in Pennsylvania last December. Duquesne Light raised its supply rate 10.6%, and the next reset is December 1.

It's not random. More demand from data centers and electrification, record-high capacity costs on the regional grid, and rising fuel prices are all pushing your bill up, and none of that is slowing down.

You do have options. You can shop for a different electricity supplier through https://PAPowerSwitch.pulse.ly/q0jomnaqje, or you can start producing your own electricity with solar and lock in a fixed rate for 25 years.

Swipe through to see what's behind the increases in plain language. Then send us a message if you want to see what solar would do to your bill before December. Free assessment, no obligation, no pressure. ☀️

Take a look at the background of that first photo.

Another Pittsburgh neighborhood rooftop already running on solar. And now one more joining it.

This is what is happening across the Pittsburgh area right now. Homeowners who are tired of watching their Duquesne Light bill climb every year are making a decision to do something about it. Our crew shows up, gets the work done right, and by the end of the day that family is generating their own clean energy.

If your neighbors are starting to make the switch and you have been thinking about it, now is a good time to at least find out what it would look like for your home. Send us a message or drop a comment below. Free assessment, no obligation, no pressure.

This is what a Connected Energy Solar installation day looks like in a Pittsburgh area neighborhood.

Racking goes up first, every rail secured and leveled before a single panel touches the roof. Then the panels go on. Then we run the electrical connections. Then we power it up and hand the homeowner control of their own energy for the next 25 plus years.

The whole thing done in a day.

Two more Pittsburgh area families who will not be watching their Duquesne Light bill climb this fall. That never gets old.

Keith did his research before choosing a solar company. A lot of companies. And at the end of that process Connected Energy Solar came out on top not just on price but on the quality of the solution itself.

Best solution at a much better price. Professional crew. Everything completed in a single day.

That combination is not an accident. It is the result of a company that does not inflate proposals to pad margins, a crew that shows up prepared and takes the work seriously, and a process that is designed to be as straightforward and efficient as possible for the homeowner.

If you are in the research phase right now and comparing multiple solar companies, we would welcome the chance to be part of that conversation. Send us a message or drop a comment below and we will put together a free assessment for your home. No obligation, no pressure, just honest information so you can make the right call.

Here is something most Pittsburgh homeowners find out long after they go solar, if they find out at all.

Your solar system does not just save you money on your Duquesne Light bill. It can actually earn you additional income through something called Solar Renewable Energy Credits, or SRECs.

Every time your system produces 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity you automatically earn one SREC. Pennsylvania law requires utilities like Duquesne Light to source a portion of their energy from renewable sources and when they cannot generate enough themselves they purchase SRECs directly from homeowners like you.

The average Pittsburgh area home with solar earns 9 to 10 SRECs per year. At current market rates that is real additional income on top of everything your system is already saving you every month.

You do not have to do anything to earn them. Your monitoring system tracks production automatically and SRECs are issued as your system hits each milestone.

We think every homeowner considering solar in Pennsylvania deserves to know about every dollar their system can earn before they make any decisions. Swipe through to see the full breakdown and send us a message if you want us to include SREC income in your free savings assessment. No obligation, no pressure, just the full financial picture.

That is a problem because a poorly installed system with great panels is still a poorly installed system. And the consequences of bad racking and mounting work do not always show up right away. They show up years later when something shifts, leaks, or stops producing the way it should.

In this video Todd walks through what a quality solar installation actually looks like from the ground up. How the racking system gets laid out and secured before anything else happens. Why the mounting hardware and how it interfaces with your specific roof type matters more than most installers will tell you. And the step by step process our crew follows on every job to make sure the finished system is built to last the full life of the panels.

If you are comparing quotes from multiple companies right now this video will give you a much better sense of the questions you should be asking and what the answers should sound like.

Watch it and if you want to talk through what a Connected Energy Solar installation would look like for your specific home, send us a message or drop a comment below. Free assessment, no obligation, no pressure.

In an industry that is famous for overpromising and underdelivering, that sentence is everything. It means Dunnegan told Wael exactly what was going to happen at every stage of the process and then made sure it happened that way. No bait and switch on pricing. No surprises on installation day. No gap between what was promised and what was delivered.

From the initial consult through the meeting, the plan, the product, the pricing, and the installation, Wael knew what to expect every step of the way because we told him what to expect every step of the way.

That is just how we operate. And it is exactly the kind of experience every Pittsburgh area homeowner who works with us deserves.

If you want to know what to expect before you ever reach out to us, send us a message or drop a comment below. We will walk you through the whole process before you commit to anything. Free, no obligation, no pressure.
