CCAC South Campus will be hosting and sponsoring the Mon Valley Connections College & Career Fair—an event that connects students from across the Mon Valley and surrounding communities with colleges, universities, HBCUs, and career and technical schools.

Designed for high school juniors and seniors—as well as students ages 17–24 in job readiness, diploma completion and GED prep programs—this fair gives you the chance to explore your options, ask questions and make planning your future much easier.

The event will also feature workshops and presentations focused on Dual Enrollment, the BNY Early College Program, a HBCU alumni association and artificial intelligence.

Whether you have your entire future mapped out or are still figuring it out, you'll walk away with the tools and information you need to succeed.

As CCAC celebrates its 60th anniversary, Francis Maxin, professor of Biology, is celebrating an incredible milestone of his own: a Guinness World Records title for the longest career as a science instructor (male).

At the time of the official designation in May, Maxin had served 59 years and 245 days at the college's Main Campus. He began his employment there as a biology instructor in September 1966, and he remains a full-time member of the faculty to this day.

A committee consisting of faculty and administrators secretly gathered research for the submission, surprising Maxin with the news of his achievement during the “All College Day” fall semester launch program on Aug. 10.
