Next Thursday, I get 5 minutes to tell the story of So Many Angels.

We’ve been nominated to present at 100+ Men Pittsburgh, and I’ll have the opportunity to share what we do, why we do it, and what it means to the children and families we serve.

But here’s the other reason I’m posting this:

Guys, come join us!

If you’ve ever wondered what 100+ Men Pittsburgh is about, this would be a great night to check it out, meet some good people, and see how a room full of men can make a real difference for local nonprofits.

📅 Thursday, September 24
⏰ 6:00–7:30 PM
📍 RLA Learning and Convention Center — Cranberry Twp.

I’d love to see some familiar faces in the room — and I’d especially love to introduce more guys to what 100+ Men Pittsburgh is doing.

And yes... I have exactly 5 minutes to make the case for So Many Angels.

No pressure. 😂❤️

Make Hope Visible.

📸 ORGANIZATION SPOTLIGHT: So Many Angels

At our September 24 meeting, Member Matt Meiers will be presenting So Many Angels for consideration by our members.

So Many Angels creates unforgettable experiences for children battling cancer and other serious illnesses, using photography and imagination to transform kids into whatever they dream of becoming.

We’re looking forward to hearing Matt share why this mission is meaningful to him and introducing our members to the incredible work of So Many Angels.

Another amazing organization doing meaningful work — and we can't wait to learn more on September 24. 💯

🎗️ 10 KIDS. 10 SPOTS. ONE LAST EVENT.

On October 4, So Many Angels is heading to Fun Fore All in Cranberry Township for our final Pittsburgh-area photo event of 2026!

In honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, we’re opening 10 photo session spots specifically for children currently facing cancer or in remission.

As always, there is never any cost to our families — this time, thanks in part to the generous support of M&T Bank and Fun Fore All! ❤️

For a little while, we want these kids to forget about appointments, treatments and diagnoses and just DREAM.

🦸 Superhero. 👑 Princess. ⚾ Athlete. 🤠 Cowboy.
✨ Anything they can imagine.

Then on November 8, they’ll come back and see that dream brought to life at their canvas reveal.

Now we need YOUR help finding these 10 kids!

Tag a family. Share this post. Help us reach the families who need to see it.

10 spots. 10 kids. 10 chances to Make Hope Visible. 🎗️

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

So today, we want you to see some of the incredible kids who have stepped in front of our cameras so far this year.
Some have cancer.
Some don’t.

Some are facing other serious, life-altering illnesses and medical conditions, and we don’t want their journey, their families, or their dreams to be forgotten either.

Because when a child walks into a So Many Angels photo session, we don’t see a diagnosis.
We ask a much better question:
“Who do you want to be?”

A superhero.
A princess.
A professional athlete.
A doctor.
An astronaut.

Whatever they can dream up.

Then, for a little while, that’s exactly who they get to be.
These are some of the kids we’ve photographed in 2026.

Look at their faces. Cheer for every single one of them.

This month we Go Gold for kids fighting cancer. 🎗️
And we’ll keep showing up for all the kids who need a little more hope.

Make Hope Visible. ❤️💛🖤💛❤️

Photos from So Many Angels's post 08/16/2026

I first met Kylie 4 years ago. Of course, she made an immediate impact on me.

She was dressed as Snow White. Then, she was dressed as Elsa. Then, she was dressed as K-Pop Demon Hunter Kylie.

When we photographed her last month, her costume was Strength. Gold. Glitter. Childhood Cancer Warrior.

That may have been my favorite costume, because she WAS the costume.

Her spirit was there during every one of her photo sessions. The smile, the sass, the serious faces, the silly faces—whatever we needed for the photo. Always willing to do what was called for. She was a great model!

Kylie has done more So Many Angels photo sessions than anyone else, and each time I saw her name come up on the sign-up form I smiled, then immediately scanned to see what her costume was going to be, because I always knew she would rock the look.

I have to admit though, I wasn’t quite sure what a K-Pop Demon Hunter was at first! (I might still not know, actually).

I’m so glad the other Kylee and I (the one that spells her name wrong) were able to deliver her most recent canvases to her a couple of days ago. We got to see that look of wonder she gave each time she saw her canvas for the first time.

I’m choosing to remember her like that.

The eyes of wonder. The smiles, through everything she was going through.

Kylie, we are going to miss you so much,
And I wanted to thank you one more time for allowing us to be a small part of your journey.
💔🙏🏻🦄💜

Some of the best moments never make it into the final portraits. ❤️

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at our Cincinnati photo experience with the Live Like Mya Foundation at Dave & Buster’s.

Every smile, every laugh, every costume change, every high five… it all comes together to create something much bigger than a photo.

These incredible children and their families remind us why we do this.

Thank you to the Live Like Mya Foundation, our volunteers, photographers, creative artists, and everyone who helps make hope visible.

*** Please note, there are 2 registrations for August 8th - both free ***

It's that time! I am hosting a So Many Angels event on August 8 as part of larger event with Zach's Toy Chest called a A Summer's Night with Santa

If you don't know what we do, we're looking for any kids under 18 years who are battling or survived cancer so we can create a fantasy portrait for them. We've had some donations and can always use more, but right now we're looking for kids to be photographed. Please share this with any family you know who has been through this and would benefit from seeing their kid be a kid again. Please come with your own costumes, and if you need one, check out our So Many Angels registration form for a group who can help you get one. After the event, our artists will work on creating personalized portraits for each of the kids who sign up. We will be in touch on when the reveal session will be to receive your canvases!

Zach's Toy Chest will provide a kid-friend dinner and dessert, a Santa for photo-ops, games and more. So Many Angels will have a room there for our part of the event. We both need your registrations filled out in advance so we can plan and accommodate all! And they're FREE.

We have 18 kiddos signed up for photo sessions with So Many Angels! We can sponsor 10 of them, but would love to be able to photograph more. If you have the means to sponsor a child, or even donate towards a photo session it would be amazing! Here's the link to donate/sponsor. With sponsorship you will be invited to join us at the photo session if you'd like to be a part of it! 💙 https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/photo-sessions-with-so-many-angels
