Long story but a goodie

It’s circa 2001 and I’m in high school. I have made the stubborn decision to not like Eminem because everyone else does (dumb I know and he is incredible). The problem is I have no other white rapper to rep. My O-line coach says one day while we’re stretching “ey Weller, Timbaland bringing this white boy up who’s really dope”. Not too long after I heard “Ugly” and that was that, I was hooked. I had never been to the country but I didn’t care. Bro was something I knew I wanted to strive to be, undeniably nice! I have never in all my years bumped shoulders with a rapper whether it be Method Man to Mac Miller to my battlerap peers who didn’t have respect for Bubba as a rapper. Of all my hip hop inspirations Bubba is easily right at the top.

Just so happens I be lucky enough over the years to call the man a friend
