Reposting this handsome guy because he is still available for adoption! Raylen has recently been allowing visitors and volunteers to pet him! He loves to play and he has been venturing out more too! He would thrive in a quieter home with someone who would be willing to be patient with him as he adjusts!

I got a request from a local townhouse rental community that someone was evicted and left behind a cat. The building management team found him when sending in the hazmat team for cleanup (it was bad 😔) and kindly gave him food, water, and litter.
They reached out to me yesterday and I made plans to go today. It took a bit but I coaxed him into a carrier after letting him know I'm friend shaped and therefore friend.
He was very scared and had a lot to tell me on the ride back to Kitty Queen Cat Rescue.
This is a real reality we are seeing lately in this awful economy and it's compounded by the fact that donations are down, too! When people can't afford groceries and gas, they certainly can't afford extra donations to animal rescues 💔
We are getting by by the skin of our teeth right now and really could use help if you could spare $5. We have 2 dozen cats going in for spays/neuters this week at $120 a cat and we still need to make rent and provide food/supplies/vet care to the cats under our rescue.

🌧 It's raining kittens 🌧
I'm pretty sure there isn't just a "kitten season" anymore since they never seem to stop arriving.
In just over a week, we've taken on 5 mamas and 20 kittens. 😵💫
Our foster team is amazing and each of these sweet families went to cozy homes while they await vetting.
