The Rosso Fiorentino Arno 20 has been on our floor for a few months now, giving Greg plenty of time to really get to know it.
His takeaway? This is a highly resolving, deeply engaging speaker with impressive soundstaging, tonal color, and enough low-end authority that you may not even miss a subwoofer.
Watch as Greg shows and tells us more about the Arno 20, including what makes it special, what kinds of music it handles especially well, and what he’s learned about amplifier matching.

BIG NEWS: Klipsch Reference Signature & Reference Premiere III are coming — and we need your input!
Audiophiles, mark your calendars for early November! Northern Audio is thrilled to announce that we will be the exclusive premier audio destination, hosting the official launch of Klipsch’s groundbreaking new loudspeaker lines:
Klipsch Reference Signature Series: Klipsch’s 80th-anniversary tour de force. For the first time outside the Heritage line, Reference gets a true three-way horn design, featuring a phase-aligned midrange driver nested directly within the tweeter horn, furniture-grade curved cabinets with leather top accents, and adjustable HF jumpers.
Klipsch Reference Premiere Series III: The next evolution of Klipsch’s acclaimed lineup, engineered with an upgraded axial Tractrix® horn, new BMC baffle materials to kill resonance, and signature Cerametallic™ punch.
We’re building a listening event around this launch, and since Klipsch horns and tube amps are a match made in sonic heaven, we have an idea…
CALLING ALL DIY BUILDERS: Should we host a DIY Tube Amp Shootout?
We’re considering hosting an in-store DIY Tube Amp Competition during the event weekend, where local builders can showcase their custom builds, drive these new Klipsch flagships, and compete for serious bragging rights.
We want to hear from you in the comments:
1. Are you a tube amp builder (or know someone who is)?
2. How would you like to see a competition like this structured? (e.g., categories by topology like Single-Ended Triode vs. Push-Pull, blind listening panels, peer voting, or power classes?)
Drop your thoughts below, tag a builder who needs to show off their work, and stay tuned for official event dates and RSVP details!

This really speaks to the philosophy behind Northern Audio and Music To My Ear
There is no single system…or sound…that is right for everyone. That’s why we begin by listening: to what you enjoy, how you use your system and, most importantly, what makes your ears happy.
The goal isn’t simply to sell someone a collection of equipment. It’s to help create a system that brings that person closer to the music.
Thanks to Vandersteen Audio for putting into words why knowledgeable, customer-focused audio dealers still matter.
Northern Audio Blowout Sale Round 3 is here, and it’s our final blowout of the season!
We’ve added another group of exceptional speakers, soundbars and audio gear at prices well below the usual retail. Remaining pieces from our previous blowout have also been marked down an additional 10%, with more reductions coming on a timer until they sell.
