From Point Park Film and Animation to the NHL!
Animation alumna Delaney Pater '25 is a lead motion graphics designer for the Pittsburgh Penguins ποΈ π
"What stood out to me about Point Park was that students were animating on day one of the program, whereas most other animation programs push animation classes back to sophomore year. Having four full years of experience as you enter the industry gives Point Park grads an advantage over their peers who may only have two or three years of experience from a different program," Pater said.

What can a career in creative direction look like? For Point Park students, it can mean learning directly from someone who has helped shape some of the biggest names in sports and fashion. πβ¨
The HXOUSE + Point Park University Creative Direction Credential Program recently welcomed Yassine Saidi, senior advisor and former chief product officer at Under Armour, for two days of presentations and hands-on workshops.
Saidi shared lessons from a career spanning Adidas, Puma, Salomon and Under Armour, including collaborations with Rihanna, Big Sean and The Weeknd.
His advice to the next generation of creatives?
π‘ Go beyond whatβs expected.
π€ Build meaningful relationships.
π Treat your career like you own it.
Students then put those lessons into practice through collaborative, real-world creative challenges.
As one student put it, programs like this βspark momentum in dreamers and visionaries.β

In just 13 months, Roscoe earned his Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification through the ABCTE program at Point Park University.
"This certification was the goal from the moment I decided to change careers. Although Iβd already begun teaching while completing the program, earning my certification means I can now serve as a fully certified special education teacher rather than in a provisional capacity."
