Looking for something beyond school, homework, and scrolling? Teens as Leaders (TAL) gives teens in grades 9–12 a place to meet new people, share ideas, and work together on projects that help our community.

You don’t need a leadership title or experience to join. Bring your interests, your perspective, and a willingness to get involved. Through team projects and community service, you’ll practice speaking up, collaborating, and turning ideas into action—experience you can draw on in school, college applications, and beyond.

Parents: TAL offers your teen a meaningful way to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and connect with other teens.

Mid Island Day Camp

Yesterday, our Long Island community came together to remember, to honor and to stand together. ❤️

Three years after October 7, we gathered for a powerful evening of remembrance featuring former hostage Or Levy, who shared his story of being abducted from the Nova music festival and held captive in Gaza for 491 days. His courage, resilience and strength were a powerful reminder of the human stories behind October 7 and the lives forever changed.

In a room filled with a tremendous gathering of community members, we remembered those who were murdered, stood with the families whose lives were forever changed and reaffirmed that their stories will never be forgotten.

The evening also marked the announcement of the Manes JCC October 7 Memorial Campaign, a commitment to honoring the memory of October 7 and ensuring it is carried forward for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, stood with us and helped make this evening one of remembrance, solidarity and hope.

Last Monday, our community came together for The Longest Table, a special evening filled with good food, meaningful connections and plenty of fun!

Neighbors, families and community members from all backgrounds gathered around the table, shared vegetarian dishes and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with one another.

The Longest Table was a wonderful reminder of what happens when we come together to create community, celebrate our differences and share a meal.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special! We can’t wait to gather around the table again. 💙
