✨ Oily skin? Your brows may not retain pigment the same way as someone else’s — and that matters with permanent makeup.

Whether it’s Ombre Brows, Combo Brows, or Nano Hair Strokes, skin type can affect how pigment heals and how it looks over time.

In my experience, oilier skin may sometimes heal softer, lose more pigment, or have difficulty keeping very fine details as crisp.

That’s why I don’t treat every skin type exactly the same.

If I see skin that may heal lighter or lose more color, I may intentionally make the fresh result slightly more saturated or defined — always within what is appropriate for that client.

Why? Because I’m not designing brows only for how they look on Day 1.

I’m thinking about how they’ll look after they heal. 🤎

This applies to PMU in general — shading, pixels, or individual hair strokes. Skin type, oil production, skincare, sun exposure, aftercare, and individual retention can all influence the final result.

Fresh brows looking a little stronger doesn’t mean the healed brows are meant to stay that dark. Sometimes that extra saturation at the beginning is intentional.

✨ Good PMU isn’t one formula for every skin type. It starts with understanding the skin.

✨ Natural-looking brows aren’t about making every brow look the same.

For her, I wanted to work with what was already there — her natural growth, her facial structure, and the way her own brow hairs naturally flow.

✨ I followed the direction of her existing hair so the new strokes could blend into it, instead of sitting on top and looking obviously tattooed.

✨ I kept the front soft and gradually added more definition through the body and tail.

✨ The shape wasn’t copied from a photo or chosen because it’s trending. It was designed specifically for her face.

✨ And the goal was never perfection.

It was balance. Softness. And brows that still looked like her.

Because sometimes the best brow transformation isn’t the one people immediately notice.

It’s the one that makes them wonder if those brows were always hers.
