Kindness Kickoff Monday: Every act of kindness makes Plano ISD stronger

Kindness is in Plano ISD! 💙 Every supportive act—big or small—makes our school community stronger. Let’s kick off Upstander Week by choosing to stand up for kindness together!

VA**NG + THC | KNOW THE FACTS.

Young people encounter information about va**ng, ni****ne, and THC from friends, social media, advertising, entertainment, and other sources. Knowing the facts can help them understand the risks and make informed choices.
NI****NE is highly addictive and can affect the developing adolescent brain.
THC can affect memory, attention, learning, coordination, and decision-making.
BY THE NUMBERS: 1 IN 16 U.S. adolescents ages 12–17 reported ni****ne va**ng in the past month in 2025.
This National Substance Use Prevention Month, let's keep the conversation going: KNOW the facts. TALK with trusted adults. PREVENT through education and connection.

Blood
Drive
Information
We're super pumped to host not just one, but THREE blood drives this school year! Donating blood is honestly one of the coolest and most impactful ways to make a real difference — it’s safe, it saves lives, and it even gives you some minor health perks. Plus, it’s a fantastic way for our whole community to come together and support those in need!

Parents and students alike, we really encourage you to sign up and join the fun! Keep an eye out for the registration link, which will be coming your way soon. Let’s team up and make this year’s blood drives the best one yet! 💖🩸

Huge shoutout to the amazing Dr. Howard! You're seriously a rockstar, leading with so much dedication and inspiring our students every single day. You've totally "Raised The Bar" here at Academy High School, and your passion shows in everything you do. Thanks to you, our students and staff are inspired to reach even higher, to grow, and to go beyond what we thought was possible in education. Your impact is truly priceless, and we're so grateful to have you!

❤️October is National Bullying Prevention Month! In Plano ISD, kindness isn't just something we talk about—it's District Made! One small act of kindness can change a classroom, and a series of them can lift up an entire community. Our Plano ISD Code of Civility guides how we treat each other every day. When we choose to be Trustworthy, Caring, Responsible and Respectful Citizens, we show what our district is really made of. Kindness Counts in Plano ISD. How will you make it count today?
