In CrossFit, they call it a WOD. At Marketwave, we just call it a normal Thursday for Meredith Corte, but this one also happens to be her birthday and we celebrate her many gifts!

Timelines to manage, budgets to keep in check, events to execute with all her muscle, Meredith treats every project like a personal record waiting to be broken. Happy birthday, Meredith. Here's to another year of crushing every set, rep, and deliverable that comes your way!

Today, on North Texas Giving Day, we celebrate and support the many organizations across our region that make our community stronger, healthier and more connected to what really matters.

One cause especially close to our hearts is The Senior Source and their mission to make senior lives better by helping nearly 25,000 elderly adults in the Dallas area live with more dignity, security, and independence.
Even more meaningful for our team, we had the opportunity to partner with them once again on this year’s impact report. This piece not only marked their 65th anniversary but was designed to capture the full scope of their work, from technology classes to utility assistance to advocacy for residents in long-term care and support for caregivers. Applying the finishing touches and attending the cover reveal with the four best friends featured was a great reminder of what community and connection can look like and what’s possible when people come together to give back.

When you’re short on time, short on energy or short on great copy, this one shows up BIG every single time! She’s speedy, steady and has become our go-to for social strategy, event coordination, eagle eye QA, keeping us all on track and making sure our pets don’t miss their chance to go viral. Wishing our favorite Razorback the happiest of birthdays with lots of time with friends, family and all of her favorite things!

Some of our favorite coworkers can’t read a room, never meet deadlines, and have yet to hit a single KPI. But they are still the stars of our socials! Happy National Dog Day to the Marketwavers you might not always see, but you might hear on occasion (sorry). The ultimate champions of our work-from-home days, here they are bringing their A-game!

A beach-lover at heart, she may be soaking up the California sun this week, but the real waves are the ones she's always making right here in Texas. Her sleeves-are-for-rolling mindset and give-back-always attitude have shaped more than our company – they’ve rubbed off on all of us, creating a team that believes doing great work and doing good should always go hand in hand. When Tina Young isn't planning her next adventure, she’s chasing big goals, championing bold strategies for our clients, and giving her time and talents to the many organizations she serves. Happy Birthday to the one who makes the best waves in the biz and inspires all of us to make a few of our own!

So, what's it like to work in a marketing agency?

Our summer interns walked away with a firsthand perspective on this and more than a few completed projects. They soaked up real world experience through client brainstorms, strategy sessions, and hands-on deliverables, and they learned what it takes to build brands that matter.

In honor of National Intern Day, we're highlighting a couple of the important takeaways from our hardworking summer interns – Cole Hairston and Cristian Cantu. We’re so glad they joined us to plus up our team and learn more about the dynamic world of marketing.

Sometimes our best ideas begin on a mountain climb, around a family gathering, or in a city we’ve never explored before. This summer, our team took time to unplug, recharge, and create lasting memories with loved ones. Check out a few of the adventures that reminded us that a change of scenery often leads to the fresh ideas and different perspectives that make our work even stronger.

It’s not every day you get to throw a surprise celebration fit for a true industry rockstar. Yesterday the Marketwave office was packed with people who traveled from far and wide to surprise Kristin Bult, including former colleagues, longtime clients, and our remote teammates. We banded together to celebrate KB on an incredible milestone: 20 years with Marketwave!

Thank you, Kristin, for 20 years of dedication, leadership, and hard work. You’ve made such a huge impact on our team, our clients, and our culture. Keep rocking on KB!
