Welcome to Urban Rio! Located in Downtown Plano Urban Rio is an exciting Mexican Cantina and Grill located in the original Old Downtown Plano Ice House!
Urban Rio – “the River of the City” is just East of the DART Rail tracks in Downtown Plano – (thus, the “Steel River” of Plano!) The exciting flavors of UrbanRio will come from all-sides of the Rio Grande River made with the freshest and most authentic ingredients! The second floor features the “On the Rocks” cantina and brings in original designs from the Ice House of 1917. With freshly muddled “On the Rocks” Carafes, Signature Margaritas, and Eight Tequilas on Tap poured at -5 degrees, the bar is open-aired with a phenomenal sun-setting patio overlooking Downtown Plano and the DART Rail. The drinks are cold, the environment is hot, and the salsa is the best you’ll find on either side of the Rio!
