At just 39 pounds, Ace is the perfect size — pint-sized enough to fit right into your life, but with a BIG heart! He absolutely loves being wherever his people are and has been amazing on his Saturday adventures. 🥰

At 4 years old, Twiggy has spent far too long wondering when it will finally be his turn. While other dogs have come and gone, Twiggy continues to wait patiently for a family of his own.

Recently, Twiggy got a chance to enjoy a sleepover away from the shelter, and he was everything you could hope for in a companion. 🏡❤️

✨ No accidents in the house, he appears to be potty trained!
✨ Wonderful house manners.
✨ Slept peacefully through the night curled up in bed.
✨ Fantastic in the car and happy to ride along wherever life takes you. 🚗
✨ Walks nicely on leash and enjoys taking his time to stop and sniff the world around him. 🌳🐾
✨ Was left alone several times and handled it like a champ.
✨ Toys? Not really his thing. Twiggy would much rather spend his time snuggled up next to his favorite person. 🥹❤️

Twiggy isn’t asking for much. He doesn’t need fancy toys or endless entertainment. He just wants what every dog deserves, a soft bed, a loving family, and someone to cuddle with at the end of the day.

After waiting so long, our hearts break a little more every time we bring him back to his kennel. 💔🏠

Cortez is a 6.5-year-old, 74 lb sweetheart who has been patiently waiting for a home since March 29th. While shelter life has been stressful for him, a recent sleepover reminded everyone just how amazing he is outside of the kennel environment. ❤️

🚗 Amazing in the car! He hops right in and enjoys the ride while taking in the scenery.

🌊 Water lover alert! Cortez absolutely loves pools, lakes, and splashing through the waves. He can even swim! Watching his zoomies in the water is guaranteed to make you smile.

🏡 A true gentleman in the home. He doesn’t jump on furniture unless invited and has wonderful house manners.

💙 Easygoing, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s best friend, Cortez is looking for a family that will give him the chance he’s been waiting so long for.

We have to get this sweet boy out of the shelter for good! Someone has to be looking for a low-key, mild mannered mature boy. He has been at the Oakland County Animal Control & Pet Adoption Center in Pontiac, MI since January, and we say ENOUGH of that.

Being a larger dog (70ish lbs), black in color and a senior at 9 years old are all strikes against him. He has been passed over way too many times. People don't see his calm nature, his easy walking pace, his happy go lucky attitude. And this boy does not act like he is 9, see the video!

He is a happy, confident, healthy dog and when he gets his sleepovers away from the shelter, he fits right in and is the perfect guest. Loves the car rides too.

If you're looking for an easy boy, and honestly, he probably isn't a long term commitment at his age, sad to say, but he still deserves a home to grow realllllly old in. Check him out. He's a prize!

Ezziebela is 3 years old, 65 lbs, and has been waiting at the shelter since 9/24/25. A whole year. 😭

She arrived with another dog, Boss. Boss found an amazing family, and that family recently gave Ezziebela the most wonderful gift—a weekend away from the shelter. ❤️

And she showed everyone exactly what she’s been waiting for.
