Record heat arrives this weekend❗️
Temperatures gradually climb into the 70s, 80s, then 90s the next few days. We've issued First Alert Weather Days Sunday and Monday with highs forecast to reach 95-100° and lows in the 60s.
It's normal to have hot days this time of year... But it's still dangerous. Make sure you plan ahead, hydrate, install your window A.C. unit if you haven't already, and seek shade during the hottest hours of the day. Don't forget about your pets!
Today (Monday): 60° & rainy
Next Monday: Nearly 100° 🥵
Here comes the rain… And we need it! We’re tracking a wet start to the week in Portland. Here’s how much rain we’re expecting 🔽

☔️Rain Monday, Showers Tuesday
A wet system swings through the next few days, keeping temperatures cooler than normal and bringing beneficial rain to our gardens & yards. We'll get anywhere from 1/2"-1" through Wednesday morning.
Rain will arrive from west to east Monday morning, becoming widespread by 9-10 a.m. In the metro/valley. This will last for most of the day tomorrow, so bring your rain gear with you as you head out the door.
Some areas will hit the low 60s, but I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of our viewing area struggles to get out of the 50s... Pretty cool for June! Plan on a southerly breeze at the coast, gusting to 30-35 mph at times.

Beneficial Rain Next Week❗️
We're tracking an upper-level low that will bring showers Monday, Tuesday and part of Wednesday. After a dry May, a good dose of rain is just what we (& our gardens/yards) need!
▶️MONDAY: Light/Moderate rain all day. Highs: Upper 50s to low 60s.
▶️TUESDAY: Frequent showers. Highs: Mid 60s.
▶️WEDNESDAY: A few leftover showers. Highs: Mid 60s.
It looks like we'll get up to an inch of rain in the metro and valley during this time. Higher amounts are possible at the coast and in the mountains.

Showers & Slight T-storm Chance Saturday⛈️
We're tracking an area of low pressure that is swinging down from Canada. Plan on waves of showers & sun Saturday with decreasing rain chances in the later afternoon/evening.
Sunbreaks may provide enough energy to turn a shower into a thunderstorm. We're not expecting any severe thunderstorms Saturday, but a rumble of thunder, brief downpour and/or small hail is possible. Forecast highs will be in the low to mid 60s.
While we're not expecting a ton of rain tomorrow (less than 1/4" for most), a localized thunderstorm could produce higher totals.
