2023 was not a year I could take time to organize another Gift event but I’d love to start planning one for the 2024 holiday season.

Hi Nonprofits!

on SW Terwilliger is looking for Nonprofits to partner with for monthly challenges! Each month they’d like to partner with a new nonprofit to help bring in donations of clothes, toys and food from members and people in the area. Message me if you’re interested!

The Neighborhood House and SW Hope are partnered together to fight food scarcity! Get involved- take part in the event or donate to them to help with this goal.

One of the reasons Operation Empower started was to put together an event for families in need during the holidays.

This account hasn’t been very active as of late but that’ll be changing! We will be dedicated to sharing information on upcoming events in the Portland metro area that are ran by nonprofits and other great organizations and businesses. More so designed to help people get in touch with resources and other events that can bring people together.

We want to empower people to live self-directed lives. If you’re battling addiction, homelessness, maybe just a person in need- we want to hear your thoughts and get to know your struggles so we can better help you. Let us know what tools and resources you need so we can get you in touch with the right organizations.

Thank you everyone who came to the event! We weren’t able to help everyone but we did help as many as we could. I can’t wait to make some changes and see how next year will be different!

Overall, it was a great first year of doing this event. We weren’t able to help everyone but we had about 60 families get some kind of help yesterday. Whether it be clothes, toys or even food.

What a blessing to be able to help as many as we did. At the beginning of this process I was worried that no one would show up. I had a vision and it was brought to life thanks to my mom, and all of the volunteers that took time out of their own busy lives to help in such beautiful ways.

Before the event started we had about 50 families waiting out the door! It was an amazing thing to be able to help as many people as we did.
