Summer has been so busy, haven’t posted much. Here’s some pics from this week!

First round of fava beans are harvested. Exactly 2lbs!

Vampires beware, I have pulled the garlic!

Today’s updates. Picked our first two poblano peppers. Getting them early because of the over-wintering. Two more artichokes are ready. These will be last of this season, but I planted 6 more plants this spring, so should get a lot next year! Forgot that I planted radish seeds in my “chaos bed” a few months back & found today. Tomatillos are developing husks!

Today’s garden updates: Cabbage looking great; looking forward to eating these Pak Choi seed pods, cat skeleton garden protector, harvested first pepper (Hungarian Wax)!, Vietnamese coriander looking healthy after dying on me last two years.

Gardening update. Moving these straw bales around the house is a good bit of work, but I got my mix from today & excited to get going. I also got a cool new pressure sprayer for my small, potted plants & seeds. My first sweet potato slip popped up!

Harvested first artichoke of the season! steamed it in wine and butter, then braised chicken thighs in the leftover sauce. Added snap peas and parsley from the garden at the end. Also, more strawberries every day!

Ready to start my straw bale gardening adventure!

Daily harvests are growing! I also overwintered some pepper plants & I have May peppers now including my first padron of the season.
