Mt Tabor… where the heck you been, loca?

After an adventure through some of Portland’s beautiful parks, we’re finally returning home to Mt. Tabor for Moonlit Creatures, an evening inspired by the magic, mystery and folklore of the Pacific Northwest.

As twilight settles over the park, gather beneath the trees with wolves, vampires, forest spirits, fairies, cryptids and every creature in between for a night of dancing under the full moon. 🌙✨

Whether you’re Team Wolf, Team Vampire or simply here to bask in the moonlight, all creatures are welcome. Pacific Northwest-inspired creature attire is encouraged but never required. Come dressed as your favorite vampire, werewolf, cryptid, forest spirit, fairy or any creature of the night or simply come as you are. 🌲🦇🦌

Community doesn’t happen by accident. It’s something we create together.

As we get ready for our next dance at The Den, here are a few friendly reminders to help us keep our events safe, welcoming and respectful for everyone.

Thank you for helping us care for one another and for the spaces that make these gatherings possible. 💜✨

Get ready to be thrown out of orbit into otherworldly dimensions!

For our July 1st dance, Mt Tabor Dance Community is collaborating with this epic crew of Space Cadets otherwise known as Space Bass. You may have been fortunate enough to catch the crew throwing down beats at the beloved SHIFT festival, keeping the late-night party going at this summer’s BurnOn, or bringing the vibes to Portland Winter Light Festival.

Strap in and grab you’re moon boots, cause you’re gonna be floating on the dance floor 🚀💫

🌿 Community recognizes community. 💫

At our Flower Power dance on 4/29, we had the chance to connect with the amazing folks from Friends of Mt. Tabor Park — a fellow volunteer-run organization dedicated to keeping the park healthy, welcoming, and thriving for everyone who visits. 🌲

In this interview, we talked to board member Sebastian Busby about the growing connection between our communities, what Friends of Mt. Tabor Park does, and what it means to create joyful public spaces together. 💚

Hearing that we’re doing a good job cleaning up after ourselves was so nice to hear! We’re proud that Tabor Dance is becoming known not just for the dance — but for showing love and respect to the land that hosts us. ✨

Let’s keep earning that reputation together!
Pack it in, pack it out, help your neighbors, and leave the mountain better than we found it. 🌲

Big love to Friends of Mt. Tabor Park for everything they do for this special place. 💫

Cup full. There’s a moment at each dance when we sit back and marvel at this community and what we’ve built together. For me this was the moment tonight…DJ slaying, crowd cheering and dancing together, and the beautiful park holding us all together in this special moment.

Thank you for dancing, for donating, for sharing your art, for picking up trash, finding lost items, and all of the PLUR! We love you!

See you soon, dancers and dreamers. 🙌🏽🪩💕
Big Love,
Party Captain
