Almond Ave

This is my wall. These bowls I use on repeat and having them easily grabbed is why. Also: Art
🌀
Both have flaws. I throw glaze to create stripes. The lower bowl has an accidental brown dot. Trying to remove it would have caused more damage, but I loved the bowl, so it's mine now and that dot is like a middle finger to perfection.
😘
The top one I broke the rim and glued it. Yep. Two part epoxy. Hot tip. I won't sell a glued pot, but I will use it myself.
💝
How I make the foot leaves a narrow spot where you can easily wrap a wire around the pot and hang it. You'll use it more, just make sure your nail is secure!
🔨 Would you hang a pot on your wall? 🔨

In 2025 you get the evolved version. Watch me wurk.

Anyone in the market for a gravy boat? I've got three of these in varying glazes. 'Tis the season.

The Almond Avenue Social is a celebration of 5 years in biz!
🎉
We will be looking at my current work, eating snacks, and hanging out. I am so lucky to have great people supporting me along the way and I am eager to catch up. Join us if you are in Portland. Follow the Pottery Sale A-frame signs!

Stacking prep bowls together on this board after trimming is so absolutely satisfying to me. I can't even explain.
🥞
I applied to be a sausage maker at a grocery store at one point (did not get the job) but I think the two are related?
🌭
What do you think?

Join us this weekend! At the Radius Summer Market. If you are looking for something tell me so I bring some options.

Good morning from this lovely banana peel in my bowl.
🍌
Sometimes I look up and beauty takes me by surprise. Pottery is about this. It's humble and useful as other art forms are not. It lives with you and serves you meals. It winks at you in the morning light as you eat your over-ripe banana and says ART!
🙌🏼
I trimmed a number of these bowls last night and they will be in my next kiln cycle.
🌀
Come to on Saturday and see my work in person. I have some in The Gallery and I will be there in person selling pots. Come say hello and consider adding some sneaky beauty to your daily rituals. Details in slide 2.

Hello from my workspace! Come visit this Saturday and see my pots in person, where I make them.
🤯
There will be ice cream funding a BIPOC clay art making scholarship. Lots of other clay artists, and my crazy face.
🤪
All the info on the second slide. Stay cool Portland!
