Finishing a bezel today and wanted to quickly demo how we get crisp lettering engraved in our metal. We used to do it via a small ball end mill, but now we like to fire it under the fiber laser for some REALLY sharp results.

For those in the automotive space consider adding a CO2 laser to the tool set. Buy used, save tons of money. We got this 8 year old unit for about 70% off new and used the savings to invest in a high quality (used) HEPA exhaust filtration system. New this particular brand goes for 10k+, but you can likely find a solid unit in the 3-4k range with plenty of life left after you toss in some new lenses and mirrors $100-200 total).

We've been using it to cut leather, rubber gaskets, wood, etc.
