Today’s Arrival
From the refined world of Yamanaka lacquerware in Ishikawa, Japan,
we are pleased to introduce a rare and distinctive matcha caddy.
An Ikkanbari chūnatsume adorned with delicate maple leaves 🍁 —
a quiet nod to the changing seasons.
Alongside it, designs inspired by the Big Dipper and a crescent moon 🌙,
as well as hexagonal motifs featuring the flora of all four seasons.
Each piece is further elevated by the luminous beauty of applied gold leaf,
adding depth, warmth, and a subtle radiance.
A thoughtful fusion of craftsmanship, nature, and tradition—
perfect for those who appreciate matcha not only as a drink,
but as a cultural experience.

Experience a 500-Year Tea Tradition Live Chasen Demonstration in Portland and the Bay Area
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this special event.
We received many wonderful comments from participants. Even those familiar with tea ceremony and matcha were fascinated to see the intricate craftsmanship behind a chasen, an essential tool for preparing matcha. Many were amazed by the countless delicate handcrafting steps required to create a single whisk.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Tango Tanimura for sharing this 500-year-old tradition with us in the United States. It was a truly inspiring opportunity to experience the beauty and dedication behind Japanese tea culture.
Thank you all for being part of this memorable event. 🍵✨
