This hood had partial front-end PPF installed, which protected the front section from years of UV exposure, contamination, and environmental wear.
Once the film was removed, you could clearly see the difference between the protected paint and the exposed paint around it.
That’s one of the reasons I always recommend pairing PPF with a ceramic coating — especially on partial installs. It helps protect the rest of the vehicle more evenly and makes long-term maintenance much easier.
Paint protection is about more than just gloss. It’s about preserving the condition of the paint long term.
