Western Prom Sunset Concerts | Free Music in Portland, ME Free outdoor sunset concerts at Western Promenade Park in Portland, Maine. Live music every Wednesday from mid-July to mid-August. Free admission, all welcome.

Tonight Weds, August 26 at 6:15pm our last concert of the season features the Portland Jazz Combo, a sextet playing music from the Great American songbook, the jazz standards, and legends such as John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker and more.

Due to illness sadly Tre. Charles will not be performing for us this week. Instead we will be treated to the bluegrass sounds of Tricky Britches, a high-energy string band that blends bluegrass, country, folk, and rock into a unique, driving sound that always brings people to the dance floor. Due to inclement weather our Dirigo Strings Quartet concert this Wednesday, July 29 has been cancelled. Come join us next Weds, Aug. 5 at 6:30pm for Mamadou playing the flavors of high-life, juju, rumba, samba, salsa, and reggae blended with authentic West African ethnic rhythms.

We had a blast at last night's concert with the Soggy Poor Boys. Gorgeous night and wonderful crowd.
