Great news from Positive Charge! PDX's Two Can Tuesday project — we've added two new drop-off locations in Beaverton! 🎉

You can now donate nonperishable food and hygiene items at:

📍 Beaverton City Library – Murray Scholls Branch

These bins support our partnership with Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Clinics, helping immigrant and low-income families across Washington and Yamhill counties access food, hygiene items, and basic essentials they need right now. 💛

🛍️ Most-needed items include:
✅ Canned beans, tomatoes & dried beans
✅ Rice, pasta & pasta sauce
✅ Peanut butter, coffee, sugar & salt
✅ Diapers (Newborn, Size 1 & 2) & baby formula
✅ Period supplies, deodorant, shampoo & soap
✅ Paper towels & toilet paper
(No soups, please)

Stop by either library and drop your donation in the bin — it's that easy! Two cans (or more!) can make a real difference for a neighbor in need. 🥫💙

Join Positive Charge! PDX this afternoon for our Period Power Project Community Packing Event, where we’ll come together to assemble kits, create cards of encouragement, and help ensure local individuals and families have access to essential period products.

More than 2 in 5 people who menstruate struggle to afford period products, and SNAP and WIC don’t cover these essential items. Today is a chance for our community to come together and help make a real difference 💗

Please note: volunteers under 18 are welcome but will need a signed minor waiver.

We are so lucky to call Portland home — a city with a rich, deep Jewish history AND some of the country's most beloved authors living right in our backyard.
