Baka Umai

Inspired from my mom’s hometown, Fujinomiya, here is Baka Umai’s take on Yakisoba. House made Yakisoba sauce, Tokyo noodles, pork belly, SPAM, cabbage, Negi, carrots, house fish powder, Aonori, katsuobushi, benishoga. Only at The Den for now.

We will be closed at both locations today due to extreme heat. Stay safe everybody. We will be back tomorrow with our regular hours for the rest of the week.

Our summer chilled shoyu Hiyashi tsukemen and sesame miso Chuka are back on the menu through the summer! Available in both chicken and vegan at both locations.

Today marks Baka Umai’s 6 year anniversary. From opening in the middle of a pandemic to now operating a 2nd location, we’ve met so many amazing people. Nothing brings people together like food and we are forever grateful for the support we have received from our customers, employees, family, and friends. This industry is a grind. All we want to do is make people happy by being of service, and for the most part we have done that.

Looking back makes me very emotional. We’ve come a long way and have learned so much about ramen, the industry, and life in general. The blood, sweat, and tears that we’ve shed during the most enduring and challenging times in our lives have given me peace knowing that no matter what happens, I know that we all gave everything we had to keep on going. I’m so proud of everybody who has given their time and effort to keep us growing.

To all of those that we love, have lost, and for all of the experiences that are ahead of us, I say THANK YOU. We look forward to providing a Baka Umai experience for many more years to come. One Love.
