TMD isn’t just jaw pain. It can show up as ear ringing, tooth pain, even headaches.
Temporomandibular Disorders, also known as TMJ dysfunction, can be a tricky beast. Many people don’t recognize the symptoms — from jaw pain, clicking, popping, and locking, into unexpected issues like ear pain, tooth sensitivity, and frequent headaches. These seemingly unrelated symptoms may all be connected to the jaw, and TMJ physical therapy can help uncover and treat the root cause.
Understanding the link between TMD and ear, teeth and headache symptoms is crucial for accurate diagnosis and effective management.
Read the full guide, and if any of this sounds familiar, book a visit. No referral needed.

TMJ Self Release 💥
Jaw clicking, ear pain, or headaches that won’t quit?
Here’s how to perform a TMJ Self Release 👇🏽
Start by washing your hands or putting on a glove.
1. Using your thumb, place it inside your mouth along the back of your jaw, near your back molars.
2. Place your index or middle finger on the outside of your jaw so that your thumb and finger are gently pinching the tissue between them, like you’re gently pinching playdough.
3. Gently press your thumb and finger together and glide both fingers down toward the bottom of your jaw.
4. Next, gently glide your thumb and finger along your cheekbone, moving toward your nose.
5. Throughout the technique, keep your tongue resting on the roof of your mouth and make sure you’re not squeezing too hard.

That rounded upper back creeping in isn’t just aging. It’s often reversible. 👇
Swipe through for the 3 things quietly pulling your posture forward:
1️⃣ Screen time: hours of looking down and forward train your body to stay there
2️⃣ Muscle imbalance: tight chest muscles and weak upper back muscles can’t hold you upright
3️⃣ Bone density: weakened bones can change the shape of your spine over time
The good news? A physical therapist can help you spot which one is driving your posture and build a plan to correct it. Kyphosis and hunched posture respond best when you address them early, so you don’t have to wait for it to get worse.

1 in 2 women over 50 will break a bone due to osteoporosis. Most don’t know until it happens.
Because our bodies build strong bones easily in youth but slow down with age, it is vital to start treatment early to prevent further bone loss.💪🏽
