Hey everyone! AMWA is having our first t-shirt fundraiser this year ! T-shirt orders are due by November 20th! We’re also ordering from a local company here in Oregon so you will also be supporting your local business! We raise funds to help fund our annual celebrating women in medicine night as well as our mentorship program with Portland Public schools, where we mentor high school students interested in healthcare! AMWA PSU first mentorship meeting for 18-19! It was so fun! We have 52 high school students from Wilson, Benson, and Franklin- that’s 4-5 mentees per mentor! Tonight we had an orthopedic resident from OHSU come and teach suturing, knot tying, and splint applications! We couldn’t do this without all the help from our fabulous AMWA people, and even our graduated AMWA people (shout out to Kiera ! ) this was so fun I can’t wait to see what the second year of our program brings!! 😜❤️

Want to get involved? Looking for something fun in campus to do with some amazing people? Come to this awesome pre-health social! It’s the same time as our bake sale fundraiser to stop bye, but a treat outside of Smith then go in and enjoy the pre-health social! 🙌🏽❤️
