Decluttering Advice:
Ask yourself if someone else needs it more than you do.

Not everything old is valuable.
Old things are sometimes just procrastination by others, who have have avoided making a decision and kicked the can down the road- to you.
For many items, provenance is questionable, and heirloom status is presumed when it often shouldn't be.
Don't let your predecessors' avoidance affect you life.
