With six branches located in SE Portland, Portland Post Office P&DC, Milwaukie, Beaverton and Vancouver, Washington. We consistently strive to provide competitive rates, outstanding products and services that are safe and secure. We are federally insured by the NCUA. Advantages of Credit Unions:
Credit unions are financial cooperatives owned and operated by their member/owners. As a credit union member, you're also the owner! There are no outside stockholders. Credit unions exist to provide the best service possible to their members - not to churn profit for stockholders by charging high fees. The only stockholders at a credit union are the members themselves! Better Rates & Lower Fees
Credit unions return all profits back to the member (after reserves and expenses) in the form of better rates, better service and lower fees. Other financial institutions do not operate this way! Volunteer Board of Directors
Credit unions are governed through an unpaid, volunteer Board of Directors. These volunteers are members of the credit union and are democratically elected by the credit union membership to represent you, the credit union member. Better Service
As a member of a credit union, you're also the owner - and we treat you that way. There are no customers at a credit union, just member/owners! Credit unions are not-for-profit. Credit unions return profits to members, not stockholders. We pass the savings back to the membership in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates and improved service. NALC Branch 82 has once again teamed up with NW Priority Credit Union to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association through our fundraiser "Fill the Satchel." Contributions will be accepted through October 30, 2026.
This is the 16th year NALC Branch 82 and NW Priority Credit Union have raised funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Since our first fundraiser in 2011, we have raised $100,902.14 for MDA.
This year, NW Priority Credit Union will be matching donations to help us reach our $8,000 fundraising goal! Every contribution can make an even bigger impact.
MDA relies on the funds we raise each year to assist families in the NW with medical equipment assistance, caregivers, education, and research. All money raised stays in the NW. If we work together, we can have a successful Fill the Satchel fundraiser for 2026.
To make donations more accessible, we are accepting contributions over the phone. You can call NW Priority Credit Union at 503-760-5304 and tell the receptionist you would like to donate. You can also email [email protected] or come into any of our locations.
Every donation makes a difference in our community, and we thank you for your support.

Always beware, but more so this time of year! Social media marketplaces can be a hotbed for scams!
Are you a frequent user of online marketplaces to buy and sell items? If so, you must be aware of the latest scam targeting buyers and sellers on sites like Facebook, Craigslist, and more. These social media marketplace scams are increasingly dangerous and can leave you without your hard-earned money - and even your identity.
If you’re selling items online, watch out for these scams:
Fraudulent payment scams: Make sure you never give anything away before you get the money! The best way to ensure your safety and security is to meet in a well-lit, public place and exchange the item for cash.
Overpayment scams: Be on the lookout for a scam that's been circulating, where buyers send more money than you're expecting via a check or an email from a seemingly legitimate payment platform like PayPal or Zelle. Never send back the difference in cash or by an online method.
Google voice verification code scams: Scammers are asking people to 'verify their identity' using a Google code sent to their phone or email. Don't fall for it!
Buyers beware of these scams:
Rental property scams: Beware of criminals pretending to own rental properties and offering them at suspiciously low prices. If the deal looks too good to be true, it probably is!
Advanced payment scams: Anytime you're asked to make a payment in advance of negotiating price before seeing an item - don't do it!
Counterfeit/defective/fake products: Don't let yourself get taken advantage of! Remember: if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. If the price seems unusually low and there is only one image available for the item, it's probably best to err on the side of caution.
