🚧 REMINDER: The I-5 closure starts THIS FRIDAY! 🚧

If you travel through Portland for work, appointments, job sites or client meetings, now is the time to start planning ahead.

Beginning Friday, September 11 at approximately 10 PM, southbound I-5 through the Rose Quarter will close 24/7 for up to five weeks while ODOT completes critical repairs. Northbound I-5 will remain open.

⚠️ Significant delays and unpredictable travel times are expected throughout the Portland metro area — not just directly around the closure.

A few ways to prepare:
• Allow extra travel time
• Check your route before heading out
• Consider I-405 or I-205 when appropriate
• Adjust travel times when possible
• Keep the closure in mind when scheduling vendors, contractors and service calls

🚧 Portland businesses, plan ahead for major traffic impacts this fall. 🚧

Beginning September 11, all southbound lanes of I-5 between I-405 and I-84 near the Moda Center will be closed for up to five weeks as part of the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project. One lane will remain open to the Broadway exit to maintain local access.
