Today our students and staff came together for PYB’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! Staff and students shared speeches, ate food, played games, and did a few arts and crafts. PYB strives to be a place where our students can express pride in who they are. Thank you to everyone who made this celebration possible!

We encourage you to learn about the contributions of the Latino/e community, their diverse histories, cultures, and traditions, engage in celebratory activities, and support Latino/e owned businesses.

Thanks to you all, we put on another successful Co****le Classic and achieved our fundraising goal!! We had an incredible time playing co****le, eating delicious food, and catching up with you. We are so grateful to be a part of a community that cares so much about our students and understands the importance of our work.

We’re just two days away from PYB’s annual Co****le Classic fundraiser! We’re so excited to come together with people who support our work and believe in our students. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! From September 15th through October 15th, we recognize and celebrate Latino/e communities and cultures by learning more about their history, highlighting their many contributions, supporting Latino/e owned businesses, uplifting Latino/e voices, and more. Its start date intentionally coincides with a few Latin American independence anniversaries, rooting the celebration in collective resistance across countries. This month, our students are planning a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at our southeast campus.

From the Portland Latin American Film Festival, to El Grito, to El Festival de Mariachi, there are so many ways to celebrate and get involved all over Portland!

The week of PYB’s annual Co****le Classic fundraiser has finally arrived! We are so excited to celebrate our students, community, and the work that we do with you all this Thursday. This event wouldn’t have been possible without our two presenting sponsors and longtime PYB partners, NECA/IBEW and Walsh/O’Neill Community Builders.
