With less than two weeks left to reach an agreement that protects patients’ access to care, Legacy Health and UnitedHealthcare have not yet reached a new contract agreement.

If an agreement is not reached, thousands of patients could lose in-network access to some Legacy services beginning Oct. 1. Emergency care and care for Silverton patients will not be affected.

We understand this uncertainty can be difficult for patients and families. Legacy remains committed to finding a solution that provides fair and equitable reimbursement and continued access to quality, cost-effective care for our patients.

A record-setting year for our annual The Drive Benefit Golf Tournament! ⛳

Last week, we raised more than $155,000 to support the purchase of an Automated Breast Ultrasound System (ABUS) at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center.

Meet Ricki Fairley, one of the featured speakers for our upcoming event, Changing the Odds: Black Women, Breast Cancer & the Power of Participation.

After surviving triple-negative breast cancer, Ricki made it her mission to help change breast cancer outcomes for Black women. As CEO of TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance, her work focuses on addressing the unique challenges Black women face with breast cancer.

Through initiatives including and When We Tri(al), Ricki has become a leading voice in bringing more Black women into the conversation around clinical research and advocating for greater representation in clinical trials. Her work has been featured on The TODAY Show, Oprah Daily, Essence, Ebony and more.

On Oct. 3, Ricki will bring that experience and advocacy to Changing the Odds, joining Legacy Cancer Institute and Pink Lemonade Project for a conversation about breast cancer, representation in research and the power of participation.

Join Legacy Cancer Institute and Pink Lemonade Project on Oct. 3 for Changing the Odds, a free community event created to bring Black women together for an important conversation about breast cancer.

Hear from featured presenters Ricki Fairley, CEO of TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance, and Doctor Nathalie Johnson, senior medical director of Legacy Cancer Institute, as they share their expertise and perspectives on breast cancer disparities, the importance of representation in research, and ways to improve outcomes for Black women.

The morning will also include a group dance activity led by Tessa Mae, metastatic breast cancer warrior, fitness expert and founder of Trap Step PDX, along with opportunities to connect and be part of the conversation.

Each year, we partner with Legacy Health to help students get ready for the school year by providing vaccines and sports physicals. Here’s the reach of this year's clinic:

August is National Make-A-Will Month, making it a good time to check something important off your list.
