Vibe curator @tocportland 😎 Hannah has been singing since the age of five. Hannah’s big breakthrough was in 2015.
By age 10, she was performing with her church and in local theatrical productions. Her father encouraged her to pick up the guitar a few years later, and she hasn’t looked back. In 2012, Hannah auditioned for both The Voice and American Idol, making it through the first round of each. Hannah was working at Guitar Center in Bakersfield—and quietly honing her singing and songwriting talents on her own time — when the founder of Nu-Vibe Records happened to stop in looking for some equipment. The two engaged in some friendly “shop talk,” then the conversation turned to Hannah’s music career. At that point, she was still an unsigned singer/songwriter looking for a big break, but she needn’t wait much longer. A week later, she was in the Nu-Vibe Records studio to begin crafting what would one day become “Sky Love.”
As Hannah wrote new material and laid down new tracks in the studio, a distinctive sound and authentic voice emerged. Smoky, raspy melodies merged with beautifully delicate guitar riffs to produce a soundscape that crosses genre lines. All of Hannah’s persistence paid off on April 8, 2017, when Nu-Vibe Records officially released the “Sky Love” EP. Both urban and mainstream pop audiences will surely appreciate what she has created.
