The Oregon CEDAW Coalition has the goal of implementing a gender equity resolution into law based on principles from the U.N. CEDAW Treaty, signed in 1979.

What the Oregon CEDAW hopes to do, along with its members (listed below) is to support, sponsor, and
ultimately implement CEDAW as a State Bill, asking for intersectional gender gap analysis within governments and its agencies, create a task force to fill the voids left by discrepancies, and create a Commission on the Status of Woman in Oregon. So far, we have helped pass resolutions in support of CEDAW in the cities of Eugene and Ashland, have a city of Eugene Proclamation, and a State of Oregon Proclamation.
