Killin Time Haunts

After a short hiatus, our FreeBlockbuster box has officially moved to Bethany!

You can now find the box on NW Eugene Lane in Portland, OR 97229, at the end of the cul-de-sac next to the pathway.

It’s currently stocked with Blu-rays and DVDs, with lots of movies to choose from. VHS will be coming back in November! We’re temporarily using our VHS collection for Killin Time Video (our haunted maze coming this October) so we’ll be adding those back to the box once Halloween is over.

We’re so happy to keep this little neighborhood resource going in Bethany, so come help us spread the joy of movies throughout our community!

We’ve been subscribers of KLEARSKITHEKREEPER on YouTube for years, and we finally got to meet him in person at the Oaks Park Swamp Meet!

You may have seen our post from last month announcing this year’s theme, but there’s been a BIG, exciting change!

This year, Killin Time Haunts is moving to an ACTUAL VENUE!

We are incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be bringing back Killin Time Video for its second year, but this time to Tuality Masonic Lodge in Hillsboro!

And for us, this is pretty special because Hillsboro is where it all began.

Back in 2013, Killin Time Haunts was nothing more than a far-off dream, just a tiny horseshoe-shaped backyard maze with one actor playing the Joker. We did two more years of backyard mazes after that, before taking a long break.

Then, in 2023, we moved to Cedar Mill and gave that dream a name: Killin Time Haunts. We built a maze in our driveway and garage, and once again, it was just a dream. We honestly wondered if anyone would even show up.

But people did.

Then it grew in 2024. It grew again in 2025. And now, here we are.

And bringing it back to Hillsboro makes it even more special. Thirteen years after that first little backyard maze where the dream began, we’re returning to where it all started, but this time with a venue to bring it all to life.

And we’re going BIG.

DOUBLE the square footage.
DOUBLE the scare actors.
8 horror movie themes.

And, as always, our haunted maze will be completely FREE.

We’re so excited to share this next chapter of Killin Time Haunts with all of you.
