I have officially named my next collection of jewelry for Fall/Winter. Meet the first pendant in the Gilded Shadow series.

This collection will explore the concept of holding light through the darker months...carrying the sunshine with us. The juxtaposition between fire and ice, coexistence of opposing forces. This is what moves me.

My mom just sent me a photo of this original painting by my Grandpa Jack because it’s all the colors of my mood board for my next collection! I love that his creativity is constantly running through me. Sometimes I’m highly aware of it and other times it’s just a quiet whisper.

This collection will explore the concept of holding light through the darker months...carrying the sunshine with us. My Grandpa silently struggled with depression despite the bright vivid light he always exuded. He was absolutely my very first best friend but he passed away before we could have adult conversations. It’s got me wondering if those conversations I long to have with him are coming through in my work and in my inspirations. I think they are. The third photo is one of my favorite photos with my Grandpa. 🥰

Fall is officially here and I’m so intrigued about my next capsule collection. Here is the mood board that inspires each piece I’m making this season.

The center image is a Life magazine cover from the 1920s illustrated by Coles Phillips. This image is the star of the board! The background of that image reminds me of my Treasured Heart charm and the shape of the batwings I’m completely obsessed with.

I haven’t officially named this series yet but that’s coming soon. I’ll be sharing small groups of jewelry as I finish them like I did through the summer and teasing the gemstones of course! Stay tuned. xo, Aylee

Yesterday in my post I mentioned leaning into wardrobe staples before my next major capsule collection. So let’s talk about the Adorned Bow studs. This is the season when these studs start to get really popular. I’m not sure what it is about Fall and Bows but perhaps it’s a gentle gearing up for the Holidays.

I love how the curves of this deco inspired ribbon shape contrast the clean lines in most of my work. Don’t let the these sweet bows fool you. They might be cute but they exude plenty of sass. These are everyday studs that you can sleep in, shower in, work out in. I do not say this about ALL my jewelry but these I’m giving you permission to put in and leave on. I finished some major pieces of jewelry at the end of August and found myself needing a moment to breathe. The transition from summer to fall is powerful and I’m thinking about pieces of jewelry to accompany us in this seasonal change. Jewelry that is effortless but keeps us sparkling, jewelry that gives us a shot of sunshine when we need it most.

I love going back to this image from Edénique de Beaumont Floral Design . The light of the flames, the darkness of the room, the curves of the bows and the straight lines of the candles. All the contrasts that fuel me to create combined with all my current feels.

I usually get really reflective the day before my birthday but yesterday I just wanted to have one more playful day in the studio for my 51st year. No process videos just me being FREE doing what I love. 🥰
