Our Story

Building Resilience was conceived in 2007 by Ron Breazeale, Ph.D., as an offshoot of Maine Resilience, in order to promote and facilitate the acquisition of the Skills & Attitudes of resilience among individuals and groups. With a team of professional colleagues, interns, friends and volunteers, Building Resilience set out to build stronger, more resilient individuals and resilient communities, better equipped to face modern challenges.

Following many years of collective service, Building Resilience, L.L.C. was formed in August of 2017. We are a multicultural, multilingual group of five with broad backgrounds and a common interest; improving the human response to adversity. If we are to survive the adverse events of today’s world, we must all learn to be more resilient; to try a new way of coping with the challenges we face.

Our mission is to create, promote and distribute affordable tools to help build resilience for those in need, and today, that includes all of us.

· We believe that resilience is key to managing personal and global stressors.· We know that resilience can be learned.
