There comes a time to bring in the new and out with the old, yes, we’ve all been there…but for me, this is a bit different. After taking time away from my mosaics to do some writing (a novella), the studio has now started to call to me; even telling me what my first creation will be.

With that said, I want to move some inventory to make space for what’s forthcoming. So, every week, I will feature an art piece that is reduced in price, an apt description, and a chance to answer any of your questions regarding the work. If you are local, yes, we can arrange a time for you to come by and fall in love with the creation.

Advice from the Grandmother

"Cure yourself, with the light of the Sun and the rays of the Moon.
With the Sound of the river and the waterfall.
With the swaying of the Sea and the fluttering of birds.
Heal yourself, with the mint and mint leaves,
with neem and eucalyptus.
Sweeten yourself with lavender, rosemary, and chamomile.
Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a touch of cinnamon.
Put Love in tea instead of sugar
And take it looking at the Stars
Heal yourself, with the kisses that the wind gives you and the hugs of the rain.
Get strong with bare feet on the ground and with everything that is born from it.
Get smarter every day by listening to your intuition, looking at the world with the Eye of your forehead.
Jump, Dance, Sing, so that you live happier.
Heal yourself, with beautiful Love,
and always remember..
You are the Medicine. "

Today is a day of reflection and gratitude.

Death came to me like a thief in the night 16 years ago in the form of a cardiac arrest. It stole 16 minutes of my life’s breath and because I wasn’t “ready” life was to begin anew. Surviving in an induced coma for a day and a half, the question as to whether I would be brain dead was the elephant in the room.

Thankful for my son’s wisdom to call 911 and perform CPR, to all of the prayers and support from family and friends, to the amazing medical staff that put up with my shenanigans, to the universe for its guidance in my life thereafter. I am forever grateful. Amen.
