Local 28 of The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts in Portland, Oregon
Currently IATSE 28 members support shows in Portland at the Keller Auditorium, Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Moda Center, Memorial Coliseum, Newmark and Winningstad Theaters. And we don’t just work in theaters—we also support business conferences, as well as live concerts in arenas and outdoor venues throughout the Portland metro area and southern Washington. Our members are highly qualified and skilled individuals, dedicated to making your event a huge success. We take pride in our history and providing first rate technical and logistical support, even as technology evolves. Lighting and sound systems have become more complex, scenic shops are using new materials to build sets and displays, and costumes are now designed for lightning quick changes. IATSE 28 members have the diversity of knowledge and technical skills to stay ahead of those changes. So whether your next event is a private corporate function, fundraiser, theatrical show, tradeshow or concert, the Stage and Wardrobe employees of IATSE Local 28 can provide all of the expertise you need to make your event a rousing success.
With a lot of sadness I also share the passing of our Brother Jeff Cragun. May he rest in Power.

TEAMSTERS UNIONIZE AMAZON'S LARGEST DELIVERY STATION IN RHODE ISLAND
Nearly 100 drivers at Amazon's DRI1 facility in Providence, R.I., marched on their bosses today to demand the $3 trillion corporation recognize their union with the Teamsters. The newest members of Teamsters Local 251 operate out of Amazon's largest delivery station in the state and are the first Amazon workers in Rhode Island to join the Teamsters.
