One of my favorite images, this is called “Mountain Twilight”. I shot this photo at The Watchman in Zion National Park. That’s the Virgin River below. This area is now off limits to photographers due to the massive crowds at sunset. What you can’t see are the other 300 photographers all around me. Getting there early paid off! You can order this print in a variety of sizes at www.sfentonphotography.com with FREE shipping!

Today is the official first day of Fall! I love this time of year with the cooler temps and of course the leaves changing color. Trees shedding their brilliant leaves teaches us to release old habits, burdens, or things that no longer serve us. It is a time of gratitude and celebration before winter. It also means I can turn my fireplace back on! www.sfentonphotography.com

This is the beautiful Falls Creek Falls in southwest Washington. Hiking to Falls Creek Falls is one of the best waterfall hikes on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge, taking you through the lush forests of Gifford Pinchot National Forest to a stunning 335-foot, three-tiered waterfall. I have done this hike multiple times and just love it! Check out my Labor Day Sale and save 20% at www.sfentonphotography.com

“Peek-a-Boo” is a shot of the St. Johns Bridge in Portland. The construction of the bridge began a month before the stock market crash of 1929 and provided many county residents with employment during the Great Depression. Because of its proximity to the Swan Island Municipal Airport, some government officials wanted the bridge painted yellow with black stripes for higher visibility from the air. County officials waited until St. Patrick's Day, 1931, to announce that it would be painted green. The bridge is named for the community at its east end, St. Johns, which was originally an independent city but was annexed by Portland in 1915. This image is titled "Into the Abyss". Sitting on the edge of the Oregon coast near Cape Perpetua, a gaping, seemingly bottomless sinkhole swallows the unbroken stream of seawater around it. Thor’s Well, as the natural wonder is known, is not actually bottomless. It is, however, very dangerous. I am perched on a 6 inch rock with my tripod in the water trying to keep my balance and get this shot. Check out my Labor Day Sale and save 20% at www.sfentonphotography.com

Midgley Bridge, constructed in 1939, is named for local rancher W.W. Midgley. Midgley Bridge was named in his honor because of his long support of such projects. Midgley Bridge was the final bridge constructed in a series of bridges on Oak Creek Highway between Sedona and Flagstaff.
I shot this as the sun was setting over Sedona. This image won an award from the Professional Photographers of America. Huge Labor Day Sale on now, save 20% ! www.sfentonphotography.com

At more than 1,700 feet in length, the Tilikum Crossing in Portland, Bridge of the People, is the only bridge of its kind in the United States. The bridge carries MAX trains, buses, streetcars, cyclists and pedestrians. There are 178 LED lights aesthetically placed around the bridge and change colors based on the Willamette River’s speed, height and water temperature.
