I was at the library in Portland around a month ago, when a book fell off the shelf. It was a book on the Philosophy of Aikido.
Through a series of events and following the universe I found myself at a Process Work and Aikido intensive on the big island of Hawaii.

I took 2 whole weeks away from my family to learn, explore, and deepen my relationship to myself while learning new tools. The theme that unfolded was connection/disconnection and the trip has been nothing short of powerful illuminations around both of these polarized qualities.

At times it was an emotional rollercoaster, but each challenge has revealed meaningful lessons and I’m truly grateful.

We also had lots of time to play at the beach, swim in the ocean.

There is so much more to say and when I have let it all sink in, I plan to write about my experience more deeply on my Substack.

I’m so glad I came even when it was hard.
In the Aikido book, a quote stayed with me from O-sensei
“We practice not because it’s easy, but because it is hard”.
And we strengthen the wholeness of ourselves through the process of discipline and focus.
When I get home, I’m joining a dojo.

Adam was out of town for Valentine’s Day so I booked us a special surprise date one day while Palomino was at school this week.
We headed over to sauna and then after our refreshing and relaxing session we drove to and had the most delicious lunch.
As we saw planes flying over the river, I thought that it would be the most incredible way to spend either a layover or a morning before a flight. What do you think?

A few months ago, I realized how many of us—creative women, business owners, artists, mothers—are carrying the same quiet question:

What’s next?

Not from ambition or pressure, but from a deeper place of curiosity.

I wanted to create something simple and supportive—a way to step out of the noise and reconnect with our own creative compass.

The Creative Compass Session is a 90-minute 1:1 experience for finding your footing again.

The sweet spot between vision and action, flow and structure, heart and strategy.

You’ll leave with clarity about your direction, language for your next chapter, and a renewed trust in your own rhythm.

I’m opening a few spots this month for The Creative Compass Session.
Online, or in Person in Portland, Oregon.

A pink kissed date night. Loving the best we can each day.
We met some friends in Multnomah village for dinner and afterwards felt compelled to wander.
The night was balmy breezy. Petal pink.
We wandered into the Multnomah arts center where I attended school at the Waldorf school in 2nd grade in the 90’s
We saw some art, walked through the cute little strip of town, and while taking a selfie in front of these roses a nice lady who was out for a run offered to snap some photos. I love the blurry ones best. They really capture how it felt to stand under the pink roses under the blushing sky.
It was a truly delightful wander of a night.
Our conversations meandered to so many places and as we come upon 14 years of being together next month I am filled with gratitude for the expansion and support and deep love shared with this wonderful man.

Did you know that my mom is a world renowned gemstone and diamond energy healer?

Her company teaches people how to fulfill their dreams of learning about these modalities and healing practices.

It’s pretty cool.

As part of my intention for nervous system support and deep healing this year, I just signed up for her energy healing journey that starts (on her birthday!) Wednesday, Jan 22.

It’s an hour long remote group session (led by my mom who is an expert in her field!)
Once a month for a year!

She gave me a $50 off code to share with my friends.
HEALING50

It ends up being $37.50 each session which is an incredible value if you’re looking for monthly energetic tune ups.

I’m committing to it and would love to see some of you there.

Also, tomorrow we are going to do an IG Live at 1pm PST
If you want to ask any questions to her directly!
Hope you’ll join me!

42 turns dancing around the sun.
My day so far has been a real delight
Congee at home, reading books with Pal before school, pastry and coffee at then the
Lunch at with ._ellison, I got my MG purring (never sold it…) and now about to play music with my husband.

It’s been a very challenging year, but I’m diving into this new season of life with all the love for my curiosity and exploration and play and friendship and trying new things, and being ok with being afraid of not knowing.
Holding humility and mastery at the same time, gently. Learning and hopefully laughing A LOT MORE.

My gifts to myself are an improv comedy class, and ‘s upcoming songwriting class with

There is so much to do in this wild life. Thanks for being on the journey with me.
