Elderberry season! I love how elderberry medicine has an affinity for the lungs and you can tell through the doctorine of signatures that it does! Look at the stems in the second picture, how they actually look like lung vessels! Autumn time is the perfect time to strengthen lung Qi!

Herb of the week: Cleavers!
Known as “Badge of the forest” (it sticks to you, and wants to go home with you!) edible and medicinal, I always love this one for supporting your lymph system. It’s so green ,delicious, and nutritious.Tastes like earth.

Nettle season! We love harvesting, eating, and drying Nettles this time of year.. pictured is an artistic rendition by that sadly we couldn’t take with us to our new location..
Simple nettle recipe:
1 bunch of Nettles removed from stem, chopped, steamed for 10 minutes topped with a simple sauce of Apple cider vinegar, olive oil, tamari, and garlic. And always drink the nettle tea/steam water. Perfect for allergy season, and full of nutrients! Yum
