St. Rose School

Our Golf Unit in PE has been so much fun! Students have been learning the basics, practicing their swings, and enjoying a new way to get moving and learn together. We are so grateful to First Tee - Oregon for loaning us much of the equipment that has made this unit possible. Thank you for helping bring golf to St. Rose School!

Our first graders celebrated the first day of Fall with a little apple tasting. They tried four different varieties and compared their colors, textures, and flavors. The verdict? Granny Smith apples are WAY too tart! The ended with an apple c***r donut as a sweet treat.

A little sunshine, fresh air, and plenty of time to play! Our younger students are soaking up this beautiful dry weather and making the most of recess.

Can’t believe this photo was taken three weeks ago! Our K–2nd grade teachers, Miss Whelan, Ms. McDougall and Miss May, were ready and excited to welcome their students on the first day of school. We’re so grateful for the warmth, energy and joy they bring to our school each day.

Little learners, big ideas! Our Kindergarteners put their creativity, problem-solving skills and teamwork to work as they designed and built their own obstacle course, working together to figure out how to get a ball where they wanted it to go. We love watching their ideas take shape through hands-on learning!

Our 2nd graders had a special visit from Fr. Britto, who spent some time chatting with the class, getting to know them and sharing a little about himself. They learned about where he grew up in India and even found it together on the map! We love these simple moments of connection that help our students get to know the people who are part of our St. Rose community.

Our new Virtue Board is officially in use! When students are caught practicing a virtue, they receive a special leaf “ticket” to add to our tree, followed by a celebratory ring of the bell. At the beginning of each month, we’ll recognize all of the students who have received a ticket and celebrate the ways they are helping our community grow. Our Kindergarteners were excited to get things started!
