If you’ve ever felt guilty for needing a break from caregiving, you’re not alone. Caregiver guilt can come from wanting to do everything for someone you love, even when life makes that impossible. The good news? You don’t have to carry the weight of caregiving by yourself.
This blog post by Radiant Senior Living shares ways to manage caregiver guilt and how respite care, senior living, and a partnership with professional caregivers can help. Take a few minutes to read it, then share this with a caregiver who may need the reminder. https://na2.hubs.ly/H07jCFJ0

Think you know football? Our residents at Sweetbriar Villa might give you a run for your money!
Monday’s Touchdown Tea Party was filled with game-day snacks, good company, and some spirited football trivia. Everyone had a great time testing their knowledge, and we were impressed by how many answers our residents knew!
We’ve included a few of the trivia questions for you to try. See how you do, then drop your score in the comments. Bonus points for playing along with a friend!

Happy National Coffee Day from our residents and team at Farmington Square Medford Memory Care!
Our residents celebrated this morning with a fresh cup of coffee, good conversation, and time spent together. Sometimes, it’s the simplest things that make a day special, and a cozy coffee break with friends is certainly one of them
How do you take your coffee? We’d love to hear your favorite order in the comments!

This stained glass craft at Arbors Memory Care really bloomed!
Our residents at Arbors created stained-glass lotus flowers, and the finished pieces brought such a bright pop of color to the day. It was fun to see everyone choose their own colors and put their own spin on the project.
Have you ever made stained-glass-style art? Share your favorite craft project with us in the comments!

“How do I let a stranger take care of my loved one?”
It’s a question many families ask when considering senior living. And it’s completely understandable. Choosing someone else to care for a person you love can bring up guilt, uncertainty, and a lot of questions.
In the latest blog from Radiant Senior Living, we explore how families can begin building trust with their loved one’s care team, from the first tour to ongoing visits, community events, and care meetings. Because while caregivers may be strangers at first, they can become trusted partners in your loved one’s care.

Concetta at Sequoia Assisted Living put her baking skills to good use this week and whipped up the cutest mini pumpkin pies!
They look almost too good to eat, but that didn’t stop anyone from digging in. There’s just something about pumpkin pie that makes fall feel a little more official.
Are you a pumpkin pie fan? Tell us in the comments: classic pumpkin pie, or would you pick another fall favorite?

Our residents at Farmington Square Beaverton enjoyed a visit to Swan Island Dahlias, where there was no shortage of beautiful blooms to see. From bright colors to unique shapes and all kinds of varieties, there was plenty to keep us looking around and comparing favorites.
We always enjoy getting out into the community and finding new places to explore together. If you could fill your garden with just one type of flower, what would you choose?

World Alzheimer’s Day is a reminder of the importance of awareness, connection, and coming together for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
With more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s, there are countless families and caregivers who know firsthand how deeply this disease can affect a person and the people who love them.
We’re proud to support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the work of the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness, support research, and move us closer to a future with better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Want to be part of it? Join our team, make a donation, or share this post to help spread awareness.

Sometimes, it’s the simple things that bring the greatest sense of purpose and comfort. Folding towels gives our residents, like Jerri at Farmington Square Medford Memory Care, an opportunity to stay engaged in a familiar, meaningful task while contributing to the everyday rhythm inside their home.
There is something comforting about caring for the things around us and knowing that even the smallest tasks can make a difference.
What is a simple household task you actually enjoy doing?
