On the eve of my mini’s birthday…
Just a little throwback of us messing around in the basement when he was two. Bringing him up thru the game has meant everything to me. My one true love has always been Futbol, until I became a mother 🥰
Today marked an end of a large chapter in my journey, my last training day of club soccer. 😢
The decision to not return was muddy, difficult and emotional. If you know me, you know I love my players with my entire heart. The universe presented other paths this year, and for many reasons have made the decision to not continue. Sometimes you need to lean into the signs and let them guide you to your next chapter. I have done this my whole life and never once has it failed me. 🪄
I have been working in and out of coaching some form of club for about 20 years. If you work in this world or have kids in it, you know we work tirelessly, often 7 days a week, grinding nights and weekends, giving up every part of our lives to serve others. I have enjoyed this work, but certainly became more challenging being a mother as Z got older.
My life’s work will continue to be giving back to the game that saved my life, thru Talent ID, and working on the cognitive side of the game. I will certainly be dipping into some on field coaching stuff thru the year as well with my other ventures.
I want to thank my players and families all over the country who have supported me and my family thru life’s ups and downs, thru pregnancy, injury, illness. Who have recognized coaches are human too. Who have entrusted me with their child’s development, have been on this crazy journey of watching me chase my dreams while trying to give that same gift to the players I serve. My favorite thing will always be and still is watching a player gain confidence and go thru their light bulb moment 💡. It is truly everything to me.
When you open your heart as a coach with humility you realize you arnt just the teacher, you are the student too.
This isn’t a goodbye but a see ya soon! I am sure I will see you all at the fields in some capacity. 🤍

TALENT ID LEVEL 3 obtained ✅ 🍾
What an incredible 6 months of growth for me personally. This course made me SO much better at player identification, presenting/public speaking, gave me a better understanding of all the facets of player development, RAE, landscape scans of youth clubs in my region and honestly made me a better such a better coach. I have not only refined my skills as a scout, but have confidence to jump whenever I see fit, into anything I set my mind to. 💪🏽💪🏽
Obtaining the highest level of scout education, that less than a few hundred people have in the US is something I am very proud of. Sharing this space with some of the best minds in the country on player development, youth Futbol landscapes, and the human experience. I am beyond grateful and have grown immensely from this experience not just professionally but personally.
Thank you to all of my mentors, my cohort of scouts, my players/parents, my family and partner. It’s been a chaotic few months but I owe a lot of this to you.
